My name is Demetrius, but around camp everybody knows me as D!
This is my 14th summer at Dream Big Day Camp, and I am so thrilled to be part of the best staff in America!
When I grow up, I aspire to be a comedian, as I’m full of knee-slapping dad jokes that keep everyone laughing. I can’t live without energy drinks and good vibes, which keep me fueled for all the fun and adventure at camp.
If I could be any animal, I’d choose a lion because I’m fiercely protective of my friends and family, and I enjoy being the person they turn to for wisdom. Growing up, my favorite TV show was How I Met Your Mother. Like Ted, I’ve always believed in true love and cherished wild adventures with my best friends. I was lucky enough to find my “one” and marry the love of my life, Michelle.
Three big goals on my bucket list are getting my passport and traveling abroad in 2025, buying a home in the Denver metro area, and attending a Dallas Cowboys playoff game. My favorite superhero is Black Panther because of his uncompromising integrity and dedication to doing what’s right.
I love camp for the magic it brings—creating lifelong friendships and unforgettable memories that I’ll always treasure. Dream Big Day Camp truly feels like home!
